Qualifications for Hi-Point Program & Winners

All awards are presented at the Annual Meeting held each fall

• First Place: Perpetual Trophy and Plaque
  
• Second Place: Plaque
  

• Hi-Point Youth Exhibitor - 7 years & Under
• Hi-Point Youth Exhibitor - 8 - 12 years
• Hi-Point Youth Exhibitor - 13 - 17 years
• Hi-Point Junior Halter Gelding
• Hi-Point Senior Gelding

• All Youth exhibitors, whose parents, grandparents, siblings, legal guardian, step parents, step siblings or step grandparents who are a current WCMHC member are eligible. In no case shall any contestant be more than 17 years of age on January 1 of that show year.



• A Child's age shall be determined by the age on January 1 and will show at that age for that calendar year. No youth 12 years of age & under may show stallions with the exception of weanling and yearling colts. Points will be compiled on a one horse/one youth basis. A contestant may exhibit more than one horse; however, the points earned by the youth with each horse will be compiled separately. For complete requirements, refer to YD-000 Youth Division in the AMHA 1999 Rule Book.



• Eligible classes are all youth halter & performance classes.



• A perpetual trophy along with a keeper trophy is also provided at each show location. If more than one show at a location, the award will be given to the youth with the highest combined total for the shows at that location.

• An award will be given to the youth with the best sportsmanlike conduct at WCMHC AMHA sanctioned shows as selected by the Sportsmanship Committee.
• Placement in classes in not a factor in this award.

• Canadian residents of AMHA Amateur status who are current year members of WCMHC in their FIRST year of showing Miniature horses at AMHA sanctioned shows are eligible. A contestant who has shown previously at an AMHA show is NOT eligible.
• Points will be compiled on a one exhibitor/one horse basis.
• A contestant may exhibit more than one horse; However, the points earned by the contestant with each horse will be compiled separately.
• Eligible classes are all amateur & novice halter & performance classes including amateur showmanship.
• ALL FIRST YEAR ADULT EXHIBITORS MUST REGISTER.
  • Only MATCHED exhibitors and horses on registration form are eligible.
  • No switching or substituting.
  • Can re-register by paying applicable late penalty fees as noted on registration form.

• Current WCMHC members with a current AMHA amateur card are eligible.
• Points are compiled on a one exhibitor/one horse basis.
• A contestant may show more than one horse; however, the points earned by the contestant with each horse will be compiled separately.
• Eligible classes are all amateur halter & performance classes, including amateur showmanship.

• All weanling, yearling & two year old fillies owned or leased by W.C.M.H.C. members are eligible.
• Eligible classes are Open Halter, Junior Grand & Reserve Champion, & Supreme Halter horse awards.

• All weanling, yearling & two year old colts owned by W.C.M.H.C. members are eligible.
• Eligible classes are Open Halter, Junior Grand & Reserve Champion, & Supreme Halter Horse awards.

• All weanling, yearling & two year old geldings owned by W.C.M.H.C. members are eligible.
• Eligible classes are all Youth , Amateur, Novice, Maiden & Open Halter classes, Junior Grand & Reserve Champion, & Supreme Halter horse.
• NOTE: Only Open Halter classes, Grand & Reserve Champion, & Supreme count toward Hi-Point Halter Horse (#12).

• All three year old and older mares owned by W.C.M.H.C. members are eligible.
• Eligible classes are Open Halter, Senior Grand & Reserve Champion, & Supreme Halter Horse.

• All three year old and older stallions owned by W.C.M.H.C. members are eligible.
• Eligible classes are Open Halter, Senior Grand & Reserve Champion, & Supreme Halter Horse.

• Includes all Open Halter classes, Grand & Reserve Senior Champions, Junior Champions, and Supreme Halter Horse.

• Includes Open Single Pleasure Driving 32" and under, Open Single Pleasure Driving over 32" to 34", Open Country Pleasure Driving 32" and under, and Open Country Pleasure Driving 32"-34".
• No cross entries between Open Single Pleasure Driving and Open Country Pleasure Driving classes at a show.
• Does not include classes where all horses and all exhibitors are not eligible to enter;
     Example = Ladies Single Pleasure Driving & Mares Single Pleasure Driving

• Awarded to the horse with the most points in all Open Country Pleasure Driving Classes

• Awarded to the horse with the most points in all Open Roadster Classes.

• Classes eligible are all open performance classes where all horses are eligible to show.
• In multiple hitch classes, each horse receives full points.
• Dinner Bell Derby class & Showmanship classes are not included.

• Classes eligible are all Open Halter & Performance classes.
• Does not include Showmanship, Colour, Model, or Group Halter classes.
• In multiple hitch classes, each horse receives full points.

• Open to all senior mares, stallions & geldings owned by W.C.M.H.C. members who are NOMINATED.
• Nominations fees are as follows:
  
  • Postmarked before March 31, 2007 = $100.00/horse.
  • Postmarked between April 1 & May 30, 2007 = $125.00/horse.


• Classes are the same as for Hi-Point Senior Gelding (#16 above).
• Prize money of $100.00/show will be divided among the nominated horses shown at that show using the following formula:

• If a nominated horse is sold, the new recorded owner may continue in the program as long as current year WCMHC membership is paid prior to their first show exhibiting the horse.
• Pay out of prize money at the Annual Meeting in the fall will be to the recorded owner at each show. NO substitutions.
